gh issue close

Close an issue

What it does

gh issue close closes an issue. --comment leaves a comment on the way, and --reason "not planned" marks that it will not be done; the default reason is "completed".

Often you need not close it by hand: if a pull request's description says Closes #12, the issue closes itself when the PR is merged. gh issue reopen opens it again.

Syntax

gh issue close <number>
gh issue close <number> --comment "<text>"
gh issue reopen <number>
